Peninsula Skate World Carrum Downs
Melbourne Skaters Visit Oceania Roller Skating Championships
Rijana and Lana from the Peninsula Skate World, in Carrum Downs an outer Melbourne suburb, were in Christchurch New Zealand, during April 2006, to urge on their team mates in town for the “Oceanias Roller Skating Championships.”
Having breakfast at the local McDonald’s Restaurant in Papanui Road, they were surprised when team New Zealand had the same idea and turned up for breakfast as well.  We couldn’t let a photo opportunity go by, and Team New Zealand were only too happy to oblige.

Eurobeat Crown Entertainment
Russian KGboyz taking over the show

From the first nite i watched the show, the russian act stood out like a sore zit!. Combining smooth ice skating moves with a ballet twirl, how can anyone beat that? The shows is filled with glitter and chezzy glamour. A must if you are eurovision fan. Im still waiting for a group of star trek aliens to appear as a boy band though, hint…hint…glynn.

Melbourne Laneways Degraves Street
First stop, Degraves Street.

This is the street where i fell in love with melbourne. I flew in from Wellington, and was desperately in need of a cup of coffee. i Asked a few locals and they all directed me to this beautiful laneway known as Degraves Street. With cafes on both sides of the outdoor seatings…looks like something straight out of some european postcards.
