Parlour Hairdresser St Kilda East
The parlour of coolness.
Written on Friday, September 8th, 2006 by admin Be the first to Comment

The parlour has a likeness to a sterile canvas painted with intensive paint colours and strokes. It is hidden away on the corner of Carlisle and chapel street. On first impression, it looks more like a very cool lounge bar with lots of cool people chilliing out. On close inspection, the parlour is a cutting edgehair salon, with lots of coolness thrown into . The owner, Geoff, aka Artist!, makes his clients feel like they are getting an art piece put on their heads!….After having a chat with him, i have this urge to grow my hair and get the geoff “special”.

Calvin Klein lived up to its reputation for providing us with great talent!. The show was a show stopper with the crowd needing a hose to cool them down. Lots of sweat, dancing, tasty boobs and abs.

Bill Sampson describes his work Gorgeous But … in gallery 1 (front) as ‘marks manufactured/made by marbling – the sort of thing done in primary school. Little deliberation and no expression – reminiscent of Warhol having his assistants urinate on the etching plates. They are pretty. Some will add, “pretty badâ€!’ Read on…

Melbourne Skaters Visit Oceania Roller Skating Championships
Written on Tuesday, July 4th, 2006 by admin Be the first to Comment
Rijana and Lana from the Peninsula Skate World, in Carrum Downs an outer Melbourne suburb, were in Christchurch New Zealand, during April 2006, to urge on their team mates in town for the “Oceanias Roller Skating Championships.”
Having breakfast at the local McDonald’s Restaurant in Papanui Road, they were surprised when team New Zealand had the same idea and turned up for breakfast as well.  We couldn’t let a photo opportunity go by, and Team New Zealand were only too happy to oblige.

Russian KGboyz taking over the show

From the first nite i watched the show, the russian act stood out like a sore zit!. Combining smooth ice skating moves with a ballet twirl, how can anyone beat that? The shows is filled with glitter and chezzy glamour. A must if you are eurovision fan. Im still waiting for a group of star trek aliens to appear as a boy band though, hint…hint…glynn.

Written on Monday, May 1st, 2006 by admin Be the first to Comment
In April Member for Caulfied, Helen Shardey MP, moved to make an amendment to a Bill, which would have banned the sale of spray cans to anyone under the age of 18. Graffiti is a concern to the City of Melbourne and Helen is looking to take action for her Electorate.Helen has stated that, “Graffiti is a blight on our suburbs.”
- Our plan will see a ban on the sale of paint cans to minors
- Make offenders clean up their mess
- Create a local hotline to report graffiti
- Target graffiti along train lines
For More information on her Anti-Graffiti stance visit Helen’s Website.
